Fire Safety Tips For Your Home

Every year, accidents or negligence cause most of all residential fires, crores of rupees in property damage, burn injuries and death.

The following tips could save your life !

Smoke alarms

Smoke alarms save lives! They warn you when smoke is present. Do not disconnect smoke alarms by removing the battery, fuse or breaker. Legally, you could be held liable if someone is injured because you disarmed the smoke alarm.

  1. A Test your smoke alarm once a month.
  2. A Change the battery in your smoke alarm in the spring and fall when you reset your clocks.
  3. Once a year, open the cover and carefully vacuum the sensor.
  4. Do not cover or disconnect your smoke alarm when having a party. If it gets too smoky, open doors and windows to air out the room.
